My Bio

Meet T’Liza Kiel

T’Liza Kiel is a proud Texas native, Army veteran, mom, and community leader committed to service, transparency, and strong public schools.

With a background in nonprofit leadership and community engagement, T’Liza has spent her career bringing people together, building programs that serve others, and advocating for solutions that strengthen families and communities. She currently serves in a national leadership role supporting veterans across the country, helping them continue their service right here at home.

T’Liza holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Lamar University and a Master’s in Sociology from the University of Houston–Clear Lake. She has also worked as a consultant and facilitator with national organizations, supporting efforts around mental health, leadership development, and community-based initiatives.

She served eight years in the Texas Army National Guard, including a deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. That experience shaped her belief in accountability, resilience, and leading with integrity.

Here at home, T’Liza is a parent in Alvin ISD who understands firsthand the importance of strong schools, supported educators, and safe environments where every student can succeed.

Her leadership is rooted in listening, collaboration, and doing what’s right for the community—not what’s easiest.
